GERMAN based precision tool manufacturer Walter AG, comprising Walter, Walter Titex and Walter Prototyp, has announced the launch of a new corporate image.
Founded in 1919, the company is said to be one of the leading providers of extreme carbide and PCD insert tool systems for turning, drilling and milling and the new image has been designed to show Walter provides much more than just high-tech tools.
According to the company, implementing ideas in the continuously changing component manufacturing industry requires the right tools.
Peter Witteczek, Chairman of the Board at Walter AG, said rapidly growing markets, for example the aerospace industry, requires increasingly more efficient production processes which place high demands on tools and applications. For this reason, it is no longer sufficient to simply supply customers with just tools.
“The customer needs a partner who understands the changes in their sector as well as the customer does,” Witteczek explained.
“So anybody who, at an early stage, is able to recognise these new requirements, to understand them and to develop appropriate machining processes, will be successful in the future.
“A prerequisite for this success is, however, an extensive product portfolio and staff with comprehensive specialist knowledge. And this is exactly what Walter can provide with the competence brands Walter, Walter Titex and Walter Prototyp,” he said.
Witteczek said the new uniform market image conveys the company’s extensive range of services, with Titex and Prototyp to become Walter Titex and Walter Prototyp.
“With the bundled competence of our three competence brands we are setting new standards in the world of machining. The three brands combine three hundred years of experience and knowledge,” he added.
Walter manufactures tool systems for turning, drilling and milling. Walter Titex develops high performance drilling and boring tools for a very wide range of applications, and Walter Prototyp stands for innovative threading and milling tools.
Logical utilisation of the synergies between the core competencies of the individual brands is opening up new possibilities for the customers. And, last but not least, Walter AG has a market presence that makes it possible to implement customer-orientated strategies at a global level.
