Toyota is giving trade customers Qantas Frequent Flyer points every time they purchase ‘Toyota Genuine’ OEM parts.
Customers can nominate which representatives within their team will receive the points.
The offer is part of an automotive-trade rewards program called GetGenuine.
Toyota was reportedly the first car manufacturer to sign up to the Australian program, which is designed to bring OEMs together to give those in the automotive trade (such as mechanical workshops and panelbeaters) an incentive to purchase genuine OEM parts.
According to Toyota, every dollar trade customers spend on eligible Toyota Genuine parts from participating Toyota dealers can earn one Qantas Frequent Flyer point.
The points are then distributed equally between the nominated representatives on the condition that the trade customer’s account is kept current with each participating dealer.
Desmond Lew, Divisional Manager National Parts and Accessories Toyota Australia, says that the GetGenuine program provides another benefit for purchasing Toyota Genuine parts.
"When trade customers purchase Toyota Genuine parts they can be assured that the parts are rigorously tested to ensure the highest quality standards, and that they help reduce fitment time and are covered by warranty,” he said.
"We look forward to rewarding nominated representatives of our loyal trade customers with Qantas Frequent Flyer points for purchasing Toyota Genuine parts.
"A trade customer that spends half a million dollars per annum on Toyota Genuine parts from participating dealers could earn an equal share of half a million Qantas Frequent Flyer points."
Nominated representatives will be eligible to redeem their Qantas Frequent Flyer points for a great range of rewards through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program from July 2011, says Toyota.
