Toyota announces massive recall

Toyota have announced a recall of nearly 20 000 of its Aurion and Camry models.

The recall is for the Camry, Camry Hyrbid, and Aurions built between October 2011 and July 2012.

According to Toyota a potential maufacturing fault may cause a fuel hose to kink, and then to leak, the AFR reports.

Toyota spokesperson Beck Angel said this recall is a safeguard.

"We have initiated this recall as a safety precaution. Not all vehicles will require repair," she said.

"We are asking everyone to bring their vehicles so we can check that they're safe."

Beck explained that "it's still safe to drive vehicles; however, if people smell fuel they should stop driving and visit their nearest Toyota dealer."
