Sirtex Medical names new CEO for the Americas

Medical device company Sirtex Medical has named a new chief executive for the Americas, Kevin Richardson, who will begin in the role on July 1.

AAP reports that Richardson has been general manager and vice president for North America for the last six years.

“The Americas will continue to be a very important growth region for Sirtex Medical moving forward,” AAP reports company chief executive Gilman Wong as saying.

Sirtex makes a product to treat inoperable liver cancer, Selective Internal Radiation-Spheres, which are tiny radioactive microsphere beads that are injected into liver tumours.
