Specialty construction chemicals company Sika Australia has consolidated two plants and three warehouses, opening a new factory at Bibra Lake to improve its logistics and manufacturing processes.
According to a statement from the company, Sika has enjoyed double-digit organic growth in the last five years. The new site replaces others that had reached capacity.
Heinz Gisel, Sika’s regional manager for Asia/Pacific, said the new site south of Perth’s CBD would optimise manufacturing processes and logistics, allowing it to increase volumes.
“By developing and expanding the product portfolio, we are responding to the strong demand from our customers in Western Australia,” Giesel said in a statement.
