SEW-Eurodrive expands drive facility in Victoria

SEW-Eurodrive has expanded its facility in Tullamarine, Victoria, allowing it to produce and service massive drives in Australia.

The new 10,000 sq metre building will house SEW-Eurodrive’s Industrial Gears division. It will be fitted out with cranes capable of handling 50 tonne loads, automated two-pack paint line and storage capacity for in excess of 3000 pallets.

According to the company, the investment is an indication of its expectations for future growth within the heavy industrial drive sector.

It is particularly targeting the mining industry, promising to reduce lead times for drive products.
