Seeley named best business at BRW mid-market awards

Seeley International was named Best Mid-Market business (revenue $100m – $250m per annum) in the BRW Momentum Awards 2014 in Sydney last week.

Founder and Executive Chairman, Frank Seeley said the judges considered a range of assessment criteria, including high performance in revenue, profit and employee growth, and how the organisation demonstrated innovation and leadership in the industry sector.

“The mid-market sector is regarded as the engine room of Australia’s economy, and Seeley International’s win in this prestigious category reinforces that it is a global leader in developing innovative, highly energy-efficient cooling and heating products,” Mr Seeley said in a statement.

“Seeley International’s competitive point of difference is that it has a business-wide commitment to innovation, and we have a dedicated team of engineers that focuses solely on ‘over-the-horizon’ product development.”

He pointed to products such as the Braemar “Super-Six” ducted gas heater as being part of the reason for the company’s success.

Last month, Seeley announced an investment worth over half a million dollars at its Albury plant on automated bending technology. It introduced a fully automated tube bending cell which features two tube benders, an end former and three robots which work in collaboration.

Seeley employs about 370 people and, apart from the Albury plant, also has a facility in the South Australian town of Lonsdale.
