The annual Rockwell Automation RSTechED conference will be held in Brisbane and Auckland this year, focusing on how manufacturing intelligence helps companies reduce costs and achieve plantwide optimisation.
Featuring more than 30 technical sessions, hands-on labs and customer presentations, RSTechED will allow participants to explore the company’s production and performance software solutions and how they apply to industry.
“Rockwell Automation is committed to demonstrating how our technology and solutions have real-world industrial application and bottom-line benefit,” said Rockwell Automation software manager, Dean Tresidder.
“Sporting the theme ‘A game plan for success’, the event offers a broad curriculum with interactive hands-on sessions that will appeal to users and managers at all levels within an organisation.”
According to Tresidder, RSTechED will shed light on how ‘manufacturing intelligence’ empowers individuals at all levels to make informed decisions that lead to increased operational efficiency, improved business agility, and more sustainable productivity.
“Participants will learn how to leverage automation investments and create the architecture for continuous optimisation, competitive differentiation and sustainable production,” he said.
Spanning three days in September (Brisbane) and November (Auckland), RSTechED will feature sessions led by Rockwell Automation subject-matter-experts, with particular focus on FactoryTalk Historian ME, a machine-level historian that collects data directly from the backplane of the controller, and FactoryTalk VantagePoint business intelligence software.
In addition, participants can hear insights from the company’s partners – including Cisco and virtualisation solutions-provider, VMware – and industry-focused customer presentations.
Keying in with the ‘Game plan for success’ theme of the conference, a networking night with a sporting theme will be held on the second night of each event.
