Richard Inwood, a prominent South Australian renewable energy lobbyist, has resigned from his job as group manager of Australia’s only solar panel maker Tindo Solar.
Adelaide Now reports that he said the decision was taken for personal reasons and that he thought Tindo Solar was performing well.
In September, Inwood criticised the federal government’s review into the Renewable Energy Target (RET), saying that its recommendations would reward the black coal industry at the expense of the renewables sector.
He said the bipartisan approach to the RET should be maintained and that the current uncertainty in the renewable sector was damaging the industry.
“Tindo hopes a response confirming the continuation of the RET unchanged is forthcoming swiftly from the Government in line with its pre-election promises and commitments,” he said at the time.
According to Adelaide Now, Inwood has joined Nuriootpa-based Barossa Co-op.
