Protective packaging specialist Storopack acquires Intellipack, its Australian sales partner

Storopack, the specialist for protective packaging, has taken 100 percent ownership of its Australian sales partner, Intellipack Asia Pacific.

Intellipack, based in Seven Hills, near Sydney, has been successfully selling the Storopack AIRplus air cushion system and the PAPERplus paper padding system in Australia and New Zealand for ten years.

Intellipack can look back on many years of experience in the area of protective packaging. The company provides consultancy for its clients on integrated packaging systems and handles their design and implementation. In 2015 Intellipack generated preliminary sales of $4 million.

At the beginning of 2016, Intellipack will be renamed to Storopack Australia Pty Ltd and its corporate design converted to the Storopack CD. Peter Blakeley, founder and previous managing partner of Intellipack, continues to be responsible for business operations in Australia and New Zealand and will ensure a smooth integration into the Storopack Group.

Frank Imkamp, President Storopack Asia-Pacific, regards the acquisition as an important step: “We are very pleased to be represented by a company of our own in Australia and New Zealand as well as now. For us, it is another milestone in extending our market presence in the Asia-Pacific area.”

As a specialist for protective packaging, the globally active company group Storopack is organised in the two business areas of Molding and Packaging.

The Molding division, with certified production locations in Europe and China, supplies made-to-measure protective packaging and technical form parts in expanded foams for various areas of industry.
