Wireless nodes and battery modules

BANNER Engineering has introduced FlexPower nodes for the Banner SureCross wireless network.

The nodes have been designed to provide a versatile wireless solution by allowing a SureCross node to operate using 10 to 30V dc line power, solar panels, or a FlexPower battery module in remote or difficult-to-access locations.

According to the company, efficient power management technology enables the node to briefly step up the switch power voltage to activate a sensor for a fraction of a second.

After the input reads the sensing status, the switch power returns to its standby status level to prolong battery life.

With the nodes and battery modules, users can use wireless sensing technology in a wide variety of applications.

Additional features of the wireless network node include: extended battery life of up to 5 years, depending upon application and powered devices; portable for frequent redeployment in error-proofing application; robust, durable IP67/NEMA 6 construction; configurable parameters for actuation voltage up to 24V dc, time on and sample; plug-and-play connectivity with mounting flexibility and adaptability for other devices.
