Two new grades are now available from Sandvik Coromant for a variety of CoroMill cutters.
Grades S30T and S40T work with face, shoulder and long-edge cutters, high-feed milling, plunging, profiling and slot milling.
Grade S30T was developed for titanium milling. It combines the properties of micro-grain carbide with a wear resistant PVD coating to enable sharp cutting edges that resist fatigue and micro-chipping.
Grade S40T was developed for difficult conditions. It combines high toughness cemented carbide with a thin CVD coating. It is said to withstand vibrations and other difficult cutting conditions and the wear is predictable, making the cutting edge gradually duller without breaking.
