FLIR Systems have released new packs for R&D applications.

According to the company their new SC35, SC15, and SC5 packs can be used for a wide variety of R&D applications.

These new packs contain both the hardware and software for analysing and verifying a site's R&D projects.

With the FLIR SC35, SC15 and SC5 Packs you will be able to visualize temperature and to measure temperatures in a non-contact mode.

The company explained that the SC35 Pack uses an A35 sc thermal imaging camera, has image qualities of 320 x 256 pixels, 9mm lens focal lengths; its SC15 Pack uses an A15 sc camera with image quality of 160 by 128 pixels and 9mm focal lengths.

Its smaller SC5 pack uses an A5 sc thermal imaging camera with an image quality of 80 by 64 pixels and has a focal length of 5mm.

All of the packs use FLIR Tools+ respectively.

In addition to this each pack contains a hardcase, goose neck with foot, two cable straps, two Ethernet cables, basemount, focusing tools, PoE injector, and a power cable.

The Axx sc Series thermal imaging cameras visualise temperatures between –40°C and +550°C.

Temperature differences as small as 50 mK become clearly visible on a crisp thermal image.

Since the FLIR Axx sc Series comes with Power over Ethernet, communication and power are supplied with only one cable.

The FLIR Axx sc Series comes standard with GigE Vision compatibility.

GigE Vision is a new camera interface standard developed using the Gigabit Ethernet communication protocol.

GenIcam support is also provided.

The goal of GenICam is to provide a generic programming interface for all types of cameras.

Regardless of interface technology (GigE Vision, Camera Link, 1394 DCAM, etc.) or features implemented, the Application Programming Interface (API) will always be the same.

It is also possible to configure one camera to be master and others to be slave(s) for applications that call for more than one camera to cover the object or for stereoscopic applications.
