SMC Pneumatics’ new series ZP2V vacuum saving valve is designed for the semiconductor market and is suitable for machine builders using vacuums for handling or pick and place applications.
The ZP2V valve is designed to shut down the suction line when a leakage is detected if the vacuum pad is not fully aligned with the work piece or when the work piece is missing.
The ZP2V vacuum saving valve stops air suction when the system recognises irregularities and is said to keep energy use to a minimum.
SMC Pneumatics recommends the ZP2V vacuum saving valve is used as a stand-alone vacuum pad or for multiple vacuum pad opertations.
