Poly-Dolly beats the drum on safety and injury prevention

Enware Australia is now offering Enpac’s Poly-Dolly, a tough, light and ergonomic mobile dispensing station for 205 litre (44 gallon) drums which has been engineered to reduce drum handling and improve safety.

According the company, slip and fall accidents are one of the leading causes of industrial injury in Australasia, along with body strain injuries resulting from manual handing of heavy workplace items.

To help prevent work inquires and sprains when handling the ubiquitous 205 litre (44 gallon) drums found throughout industry, Enware says the mobile unit has been design to ensure workers use their correct major muscle groups to support and propel the load from a correct distance, rather than straining smaller muscle groups by being hunched over too close to the load.

Weighing 44.5 kg, the Enpac Poly-Dolly has a load-bearing capacity of UDL 270kg and built in protection ranging from the easy loading and dispensing procedure, to easy wheeling design.

Features also include:

  • Built in secondary containment unit to prevent accidental spills landing on the floor. Convenient drain plugs.
  • Drain hole into enclosed sump area elevated above dispensing well for major spills – 304 litre sump.
  • Integrally moulded handle for extra strength. The rolled grip handle makes lifting easy.
  • Extra large easy roll 25cm polyolefin wheels (and optional pneumatic wheels for rugged terrain, such as construction, engineering and resources sites.

The Enpac range is suitable for applications in the automotive, building, construction, electrical, government utility, laboratories, manufacturing, materials handling, mining and petroleum, process engineering, primary product processing and transport industries.
