The Motorola RD500 vehicle-mounted RFID reader for picking applications is now available from Peacock Bros.
Installed on a forklift backrest or mobile cart, Peacock Bros says the RFID reader will automatically read and record any Gen2 RFID tag within range.
The RFID reader, motion sensor, battery pack, Bluetooth, wireless LAN and antennae are housed in a single compact form, with no cables or additional power supplies required.
According to Peacock Bros, the RFID reader can be installed forklifts, trucks, mobile carts, stretch wrap machines, yards, gates, clamp trucks and conveyors or in any locations where a cabled reader is not practical.
