Air-guided truck flooring

The new Air Guide truck trailer technology from Industrial Conveying is suited to warehouses and factories that handle palletised goods and are loaded by forklifts.

It suits industries ranging from beverage and food through to manufacturing, retail and third party logistics and reduces truck loading time to as little as three minutes.

Air Guide flooring quickly loads stacked pallets that come out of an automated warehouse, plus it has the added advantage of providing easy unloading duties to a driver at delivery points.

The challenge was to design and produce a system that raises guides for automated loading but retracts once the load is in place.

The solution is the use of guides that inflate with air. Once the load is on board, a driver simply deflates the raised guides to return to a flat, even floor that allows the use of regular pallet trucks.

When a truck backs into a bay, it is automatically levelled and aligned. The load is prepared on the dock and once the truck is in place the press of a button has the load shipped onto the back of the truck.

Rough terrain forklifts

Flexilift Australia is now the sole distributer in Australia for Sellick rough terrain and truck mounted forklifts.

The forklifts are suitable for heavy and dirty industrial environments such as mining, quarrying, concrete and construction, plumbing and sewage, public works, sawmills and lumber, warehousing, transport, ports and marinas.

Lifting capacities range from 2.2t up to the S160 Series 7.2t unit.

According to Flexilift, the S160 Series provides extreme lift capability and power but its control and handling is comparable to that of a smaller lift truck.

It uses a DieselMax 444, EPA-compliant Tier III, low emission, intercooled, turbocharged, 114hp diesel engine, is 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel steer, has 3-speed fully automatic powershift transmission and hi-visibility see-thru mast assemblies.

Surface finishing machines

LMC Laser now offers the Hans Weber range of edge rounding, de-burring and surface finishing machines.

The Hans Weber range machines are said to be very popular in Europe with companies who like to provide a little bit extra in terms of quality. For laser cut and turret punched parts, the edge rounding is radius-like, and is considered a standard in the market today.

The range includes machines to de-burr oxy and plasma cut parts and round edges on laser cut and punched parts.

LMC Laser says it is also offering the STC Bolt Grinding Beam system and the DR Planetary Head system as optional extras to expand the capability of the Weber products. The STC system is used for de-burring oxy, plasma and thicker laser cut parts, whereas the DR Planetary Head system uses double rotation to achieve repeatable results with a perfect finish.
