A range of EPOS positioning controllers from maxon motor is designed for OEM applications that require decentralised drive intelligence.
The EPOS digital positioning controllers, based on CANopen standard, cover a performance range from 1–700 watts and can operate in position, speed and current control mode.
According to maxon motor, the controllers can be configured to operate with both DC and EC motors. A variety of operating modes means they can be used flexibly in various drive systems in automation technology and mechatronics.
The new EPOS2, with 32-bit digital signal processor technology, is said to support complex motion control functionalities, producing excellent control characteristics.
