MAGSWITCH Technology has launched a new range of switchable magnetic industrial tools for the Australian manufacturing sector.
The launch took place at National Manufacturing Week 2008, held in Sydney recently.
Magswitch general manager Nathan Williams said Magswitch products gave genuine productivity solutions for fabricators that previously were ‘a pipe dream’.
“Workholding and clamping that doesn’t impede your workspace, gives super strong magnetic hold but can be switched off — meaning they won’t get furry with swarf — can be setup in seconds for one-off or repetitive work,” he said.
“Building on our US teams success, we put the Magswitch welding, workholding, lifting and automation tools to the Australian market with a resounding ‘love it’ response”.
The line demonstrated at NMW 2008 included the Magswitch welding clamps (return line connectors), Magsquares, Boomerangles and 90 degree squares (all offering fast, strong switchable magnetic workholding and clamping for iron and steel work), medium and heavy duty Magswitch lifters, (no need for slings or chains to pickup steel or iron up to 500kg rated loads) and the pneumatically actuated automation tools (end effectors and ergo arm magnetic lifters and clamps suitable for plate and sheetmetal pickup).
Magswitch national sales manager Peter Higgins said “a number of visitors commented — ‘Magswitch is the best kept secret in industry — where can I buy one?’ which has given us further impetus to fill out the distribution channel with both our existing partners and a number of new distributors coming on board via the show.
“We’re now offering a range of solutions not just a couple of products and end-users have recognised the value Magswitch products provide — efficiency, ease of use and labour savings to the factory owner”.
Magswitch industrial products are available in Australia and New Zealand through MigoMag, Gullco, Cigweld, Snapon, AIS, Chevington Tools, Weldwell and other speciality welding and fabrication outlets.
