IFM efector’s new VK Series vibration switch monitors machine vibration levels of critical plant equipment to help prevent machine failure and expensive downtime.
The vibration switch is designed to permanently mount on a machine to monitor machine vibration level. According to IFM efector, the virbation switch provides continuous feedback of machine vibration levels by indicating a 4.20mA analog output.
By detecting machine vibration changes when they first occur, the IFM efector vibration switch can prevent equipment from catastrophically failing, reduce secondary damage and aid with machine maintenance.
The vibration switch eliminates the challenges with traditional vibration monitoring such as spectrum analysis and data collectors. Implementation is based on the ISO10816 standard which defines vibration monitoring of machinery.
