Long-length folding machine

THE Tensol Origami folding machine from OEMB, designed for long length work, is available in Australia and New Zealand from Maxitec.

The Origami range has machines with folding lengths of four metres, six metres, eight metres, 10 metres, 12 metres and 14 metres, as well as customised lengths for specific needs.

This wear-proof, long life folding machine technology has a hardened reinforcement bar suitable for folding materials which exceed the hardness of standard steels.

Work depths vary from 1100mm depth (Type H); and 1250mm depth (Type I); to 1500mm depth (Type U). Much of the performance of these folding machines is based on sophisticated control units.

There is the possibility to execute radius with the help of specific programming; the possibility to manage the oblique back gauge with the programming help menu for pneumatic back-stop BC-04 and BV-99; and the possibility to integrate the double back gauge management (10mm-50mm) for pneumatic back-stop BC-04 and BV-99.

Backgauges available include belt-driven back gauge BC-99, belt-driven back gauge BC-04, oblique belt-driven back gauge BC-04, back gauge with ball screws BV-99, and oblique back gauge with ball screws BV-99.

Shear options include manual shear TM 1.0, motorised hydraulic shear HYS 1.5-04 A and HYS 2.0-04 A, motorised hydraulic shear HYS 1.5-04 S and HYS 2.0-04 S, motorised hydraulic shear HYS 3.0-02, motorised hydraulic shear HYS 3.0 HD, and motorised hydraulic shear HYS 4.0-06.

A full length safety foot rail (standard) can be activated during the folding machine’s normal functioning cycle. It has two operational systems: 1. If activated, the folding machine will go to the STOP position and all operations will cease. 2. If activated, the folding machine will stop all operations, bring the beam to the 0°position and open the upper jaw at 30mm at least.

During the downward movement, the upper jaw stops at about 30mm away from the lower jaw. A signaling light is provided for productivity improvement, which is very useful when the operator is more than three metres away and is a configurable unit up to four modulus.

The reinforcement bar from hardened steel, hardness 46-50-HRC is of 30 x 10mm (for folding machines up to 2.00mm), 30 x 15mm (for folding machines up to 2.50mm) or 60 x 25mm (for folding machines from 3 to 4mm). Other dimensions are available on request.
