NPA introduces Liquid Tight Break-Thru Plugs

NPA’s-moulded Liquid Tight Break-Thru Plugs function as both liquid tight plugs and liquid tight bushings and they are a snap to install, NPA explains.

If you have a hole that you need to seal at IP67/68 while still having the option to run a cable through it later, then these will save you money.

They are now also available for thicker panels and in colours.

These function as a plug at IP 67/68 or as a bushing – still IP 67/68.

Liquid Tight Break-Thru Plugs are co-moulded and elastomer parts that function as liquid tight plugs with an IP 67/68 rating, yet can be pierced by round wire, cable or tubing to function as liquid tight bushings with the same resulting IP 67/68 rating.

Round wire, cable or tubing will easily pierce the membrane to convert it for use as a Liquid Tight Bushing due to the flexibility of the TPE material used in the membrane.

Once pierced, the Liquid Tight Bushing converts raw edged holes to smooth, neat, insulated holes.

When used as a liquid tight bushing, the Liquid Tight Break-Thru Plug insulates and mechanically protects electrical and telecommunications cable, tubing, hose, rope and utility lines.

These plugs have locking fingers that snap easily into holes with only fingertip pressure in fractional increments up to the maximum panel thickness.

They withstand a push back force of greater than 35 pounds and are available in multiple sizes for use in 12.7mm to 38.1mm. They are for use in panels as thin as 0.5mm and as thick as 6.4mm.

Liquid Tight Break-Thru Plugs are made from nylon 6/6 and TPE. They are IP 67/68, have an HB flammability rating and have a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C. They are also available in numerous colours.
