EMERSON Process Management’s new Rosemount 2160 vibrating fork liquid level switch is said to be the industry’s first IEC 62591 (WirelessHART) certified unit of its kind.
According to the company, the liquid level switch provides level detection in locations previously inaccessible or too costly for wired devices.
Suitable for most liquid applications, the unit is reportedly unaffected by flow, bubbles, turbulence, foam, vibrations, solid content, coating, liquid properties and product variations.
The switch has been designed for use in extreme temperatures and harsh process conditions. Typical applications include overfill protection, high and low level alarms, pump control and pump protection or empty pipe detection.
