Higher efficiency in second generation SO series

BOGE says its new second generation SO series oil free screw compressors provides higher efficiency, reduced sound pressure levels and a new service friendly layout in the 110 to 255 kW performance class.

According to the company, enhancements of the SO -2 models include optimised cooling air flow where intake air is drawn from the coolest area to help increase free air delivery, and minimisation of internal pressure losses has led to greater efficiency. The overall benefit is improved specific power consumption, the company says.

The SO -2 models are equipped with a combined sound and pulsation absorber. An intelligent design and the use of powerful absorbing materials means the entire range operates with significantly improved sound pressure levels making the new SO series quieter in operation than ever before.

A further improvement is the addition of a condensate separator in the intercooler between the first and second stage airends. This improved separation means absolutely safe operation for the second stage in applications where there are low ambient temperatures or in situations where there is high humidity.

The BOGE SO -2 series include 8 models and 16 variations which ensures there is a version to meet industry requirements from 110 to 355 kW.
