Motion Technologies has designed and developed a range of electric actuated grippers for use in automation applications to replace conventional pneumatic grippers.
The devices comprise bi-parting parallel jaws driven by a precision lead screw and geared brushless DC servo motor and were designed using 3D modelling.
The design permits a wide range of alternate configurations including the use of stepper motors as well three or swing acting jaws plus a wide range of speeds and feedback options, the company claims.
Feedback with limit sensors or encoder is readily achieved and can also be supplied with an integrated drive or a fully programmable motion controller, according to Motion Technologies.
