Aquip Systems to distribute General Monitors’ new flame detector

Aquip Systems has released General Monitors’ new Model FL4000H multi-spectrum infrared flame detector.

According to Aquip Systems, the HART and IECEx certified flame detector has Neural Network Technology which endows it with immunity to false alarms caused by lightning, arc-welding, hot objects and other sources of radiation.

The product incorporates a Multi-Spectrum Infrared Sensor Array, said to increase its range and field of view. A Continuous Optical Path Monitoring feature checks the window cleanliness and the detector’s electronic circuitry every two minutes.

Auqip Systems says the unit is designed to detect typical fires such as those produced by alcohol, n-heptane, gasoline, jet fuels and hydrocarbons.

It can also see through dense smoke produced by diesel, rubber, plastics, lube oil, and crude oil fires.
