Pro Plaster Products has begun manufacturing drywall finishing compounds in at a new facility in Brisbane, after 15 years of importing all its products.
According to the company’s managing director, the company always had plans to manufacture its own products locally, and after 15 years it has finally grown its business enough to put the plans into fruition.
Pro Plaster Products has long been established as an importer, wholesaler and retailer of professional drywall finishing materials, tools and accessories.
Managing director Perry Richardson says, “This has been a long time coming. We have been importing compounds for over 15 years always with the idea that one day we would manufacture locally. Finally it has come to fruition.”
The facility is located just outside Brisbane. According to Richardson, it is the result of an ongoing alliance with Solid Products, Inc. (SPI) of Richfield, WI USA.
“We have imported Sudden Bond 4T for many years and 4T has become the industry benchmark, we are happy to now be producing that same quality product here. Our ongoing relationship with SPI will help us to expand our product offering and ensure quality,” he said.
It is Pro’s intent to manufacture a complete line of drywall finishing products for wholesale and retail distribution throughout Austral Asia market.
