VISITORS to this year’s Ausplas exhibition for the plastics processing industry in Melbourne will be treated to an exciting line up of exhibits from around the world, according to organisers.
Ausplas 2008 will cover 13,000 square metres and has attracted not only domestic distributors and agents, but exhibitors from Europe, Asia and China, featuring a number of national pavilions, including the dynamic ‘Expo Austria!’
The show has a reputation for attracting production managers and plastics technologists on purchasing expeditions, as it presents the opportunity to see first hand working exhibits from competing suppliers.
Around 50 per cent of exhibits will feature plastics processing equipment in operation with strong emphasis on new all-electric injection moulding technology and PET for packaging applications.
Apart from the primary processing machines, such as injection and blow moulders, extruders and thermoformers, visitors will see ultrasonic and laser welders, CNC lathes and routers, printing systems and bag making machines.
There will also be plenty of mixers, dryers, feeders and other ancillaries plus machine components such as screws and barrels, moulds and dies, CAD/CAM/CAE software programs, rapid prototyping exhibits, laboratory and QA instruments, and recycling systems.
There’s heavy emphasis on automation and robotics and great new developments in processing technology and recycling, toolmaking and design on show too.
Ausplas 2008 will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre from October 7th-10th. Opening hours are from 9.00am to 5.00pm daily, with extended hours to 8.00pm on Wednesday October 8th.
