Packaging sustainability conference opens

DON’T miss your chance to attend the first sustainability conference for the packaging industry to be held in Sydney later this year.

Early Bird registration closes on Friday May 2 and the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) invites companies involved in the food, beverage, packaging and manufacturing industries to attend the conference which will be held on June 12-13 at Luna Park, Sydney.

The 2008 National Conference will have over 40 leading international and national speakers in a variety of fields to cater for everyone in the food, beverage, manufacturing and packaging industries.

Keynote speakers are world-renowned experts in their fields and the program provides an extensive array of educational and technical opportunities for everyone in the industry.

The AIP National Conference is open to both members and non-members and is the largest educational conference of its kind in the industry. AIP says it is a not-to-be-missed event.

AIP says the conference is designed to bring together the activities of food, beverage and packaging technologists, designers and researchers, as well as logistics experts in the investigation of future packaging solutions that incorporate sustainability.

Through attendance, participants will gain an increased awareness of how the packaging industry can re-design, re-use, recycle to reduce the impacts of packaging throughout the entire life cycle of a product.
