Orange to acquire 24/7 industrial estate

An Orange Councilor has asked for an industrial estate in Orange, to allow factories to operate on a 24 hours basis, seven days a week as reported in the Central Western Daily.

Cr Chris Gryllis requests the council to make more land available to companies that want to run their factory and workshop operations around the clock.

“I think if we want to have the prosperity of the mining and industrial work we need to have the land available to accommodate those companies that want to operate 24/7,” Cr Gryllis told Central Western Daily.

Operations in Cadia and the Narrambla Estate have allowed for 24-hour operations, but noise has been a significant factor in allowing other factories to follow suit.
