Operations started at Bridgewater CPV solar station

SILEX Systems says its subsidiary Solar Systems has started operation of the Bridgewater Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) solar power station.

The facility, located in Central Victoria, is the largest CPV solar power station in Australia.

The 500 kilowatt grid-connected facility will be used to demonstrate and test Solar Systems’ proprietary ‘Dense Array’ CPV solar conversion system.

‘Dense Array’ convertor technology uses high efficiency triple junction solar cells which are capable of converting sunlight into electricity at around 40 percent efficiency.
