Worker dies at Tomago plant

An investigation is underway after a worker at a Tomago metal manufacturing plant died last week.

ABC News reports the 40-year-old man was struck by lifting equipment that was suspended from an overhead crane.

Then man was seriously injured in the accident and later died of his injuries.

WorkCover NSW said a full investigation would be held at the plant near Newcastle, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
