THE Manufacturers’ Monthly Endeavour Awards presentation ceremony is now only a few weeks away and tickets to the gala dinner are starting to sell fast.

Readers of Manufacturers’ Monthly are encouraged to attend manufacturing’s night of nights, and witness the awarding of the winners of the 12 categories, plus manufacturing’s manufacturer of the year.

Proudly sponsored by BlueScope Steel, the Awards presentation ceremony, will be attended by some of Australia’s leading manufacturers and industry personnel.

This year, Clive Davenport, Director of CSIRO’s Future Manufacturing Flagship will be addressing the manuacturing community. The Flagship aims to transform existing export-oriented sectors to improve the future competitiveness of Australian manufacturing.

As Director, Davenport is responsible for overseeing a large portfolio of research projects and commercial pathways, and managing partnerships and collaborations in areas such as clean technologies, flexible electronics, biomedical manufacturing and nano-safety.

Davenport has also been the CEO and Executive Director of the Australian Nano Business Forum which represents Australian industries and companies involved with nanotechnology as well as the CEO of the Small Technology Cluster, a centre for micro-nano-bio technology research, manufacturing and commercialisation.

This year, the 2010 Endeavour Awards presentation gala dinner will be held May 12, at Doltone House, Pyrmont, Sydney.
