Technofast Industries, a specialist in hydraulic bolt tensioning, has recently relocated to a purpose built factory in the Brisbane suburb of Crestmead.
The move will allow the company to streamline its manufacturing operations and significantly increase its production levels.
Technofast’s founder and CEO, John Bucknell, said the expansion of the company’s manufacturing capability will enable it to address an increasing demand from local industry and from its major distributors in international markets for its hydraulic fastener systems.
“This is major milestone for us, and one which the whole team is excited about,” Bucknell said.
“The move will allow Technofast to continue to meet our objectives of supplying our customers with cost-effective high quality products with superior design, coupled with a high level of customer service.
The principal activity of Technofast Industries is the manufacture of high pressure hydraulically operated bolt-tensioning devices that can be quickly and easily fitted and used with standard hydraulic pumps and equipment.
Bucknell explained that the move will also allow the company to adopt Lean Manufacturing principles which will further improve manufacturing efficiencies.
“Most leading manufacturing companies around the world have adopted Lean Manufacturing, which is basically a systematic method for the elimination of waste created through unevenness in workloads within a manufacturing process,” he said
He said by utilising the latest state of the art manufacturing techniques, coupled with an aggressive R&D program, Technofast will continue to offer products and services at prices which vastly extend both the cost effective use of hydraulic tensioning and the number of applications in which the user benefits of these methods can be appreciated.
Technofast has an office in Rockingham, WA to service the company’s Western Australian customers.
