Taiwan to encourage trade with Australia at NMW 2011

Sixteen Taiwanese companies will be showcasing a wide range of products and OEM services at National Manufacturing Week 2011 (NMW 2011) at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre later this month.

The Taiwanese firms will be encouraging trading partnerships with Australian manufacturers from 24 to 27 May.

Machinery components manufacturers will be among the Taiwanese delegate, along with makers of lathe-related machines, LCD modules, hand tools, machine parts, cutting tools, wires and cables, and other products.

According to the organisers of NMW, Reed Exhibitions, the Taiwanese exhibitors are highly-regarded and very successful in their respective fields.

Taiwan’s trade with Australia in 2010 reached US$ 12 billion, making Australia the 10th major trade partner of Taiwan. Of this figure, Taiwan’s exports to Australia totaled US$3.13 billion in the year.

Compared with the imports from Australia which are valued at US$8.87 billion, Taiwan’s exports to Australia still have room for growth, says Reed Exhibitions.
