Subaru Australia commits new XV to unique automotive campaign

Subaru Australia has confirmed it will expand its relationship with Collaborate Corporation by providing 105 models of its new 2018 Subaru XV to the company’s rental scheme Drive My Car.

The campaign includes elements not previously utilised by automotive manufacturers and follows the successful sale of 101 Subaru Impreza models, which were launched via the scheme in March.

It will allow customers, including UberX drivers, the chance to trial the vehicle before they choose whether to buy.

A new approach is expected to influence a new area of growth to the automotive sector.

“This new deal is further evidence of how our online marketplaces can deliver unique benefits to consumers and marketers,” said Chris Noone, CEO of Collaborate Corporation.

“We received very positive feedback from renters about the Impreza vehicles [and] we anticipate the XV will be just as popular.”

Colin Christie, Subaru Australia managing director, described the Impreza campaign, which saw more than 20,000 people experience driving or riding in a the new Impreza as “astonishingly successful”.

“Our previous success with the Levorg and Impreza models gives us every confidence that we can continue to expand our audience through use of the new XV, in collaboration with DriveMyCar.”
