The South Australian Opposition says if it wins next year's state election a taskforce will be created to help boost the state's struggling manufacturing sector.
Opposition leader Steven Marshall said if the Liberals took power a new team would be created to help the industry, with a particular focus on the automotive sector.
So far exact details on the plan are scarce, but Marshall said the taskforce would try to boost investment in manufacturing firms.
“The taskforce will also focus on attracting new investment to South Australia's advanced manufacturing sector as it relates to the automotive industry,” he said.
SA Premier Jay Weatherill said the Opposition's plan to establish a taskforce highlighted its current lack of policy for the automotive sector.
