Rockwell’s new $4m South Pacific HQ, Bayswater facility

After 25 years in the heart of Blackburn, Rockwell Automation has moved its South Pacific headquarters to Mountain Highway in Bayswater, Victoria.

The $4m facility provides a modern customer training centre to support local and regional industry and conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations to clients. It also includes a dedicated project engineering staging area along with a test and repair facility.

“Bayswater is an ideal location for access to both local and regional customers. The new facility provides space for the growing team at Rockwell Automation and includes a Customer Briefing Room featuring a nine metre wide display wall focussing on Plant Wide Optimisation and Machine Builder Performance,” said Rockwell Automation Australia and New Zealand managing director, Twain Drewett.

The new premises were officially opened on 8 March 2012. In attendance was Parliamentary Secretary for Industry and Innovation, Mark Dreyfus; Member for Bayswater, Heidi Victoria; Ai Group director Victoria, Tim Piper; Rockwell Automation president for Asia-Pacific, Bob Ruff; Rockwell Automation finance senior vice president Ted Crandall; and the entire Rockwell Automation Asia-Pacific leadership team.

Last month, Rockwell Automation hosted Rockwell Automation on the Move. Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency and Industry and Innovation, Greg Combet opened this two-day industry event at Melbourne Park Function Centre.
