Quickstep Technologies secures new purchase order

Carbon composites technology company Quickstep Technologies
has announced a new purchase order from Lockheed Martin for an extra 12 sets (plus spares) of wing flaps.

“We are delighted to receive our third additional purchase order from
Lockheed Martin since making our first delivery of C‐130J wing flaps in
February 2014,” said executive chairman Tony Quick in a statement to the ASX
this morning.

This takes the total order to 67 wing flap sets for Lockheed’s C-130J
Super Hercules, a tender awarded in March 2012 and worth $US75 million under a MOA
signed in December 2013.

Nineteen sets have been delivered to Lockheed so far this year.

Quickstep’s patented technology, the Quickstep Process, cures composites using a fluid-based, out-of-autoclave process, which delivers time and energy
savings over the conventional method.
