Carbon composites technology company Quickstep Technologies has confirmed the appointment of David Marino as Managing Director.
Marino, who began as Chief Executive Officer on 16 February, takes over from Tony Quick who was temporarily filling the Managing Director position and now reverts to his sole position of independent Non‐Executive Chairman.
"I am excited to be joining Quickstep at this time of growth as the company continues its transition into production,” Marino said in a statement.
“Carbon fibre has a revolutionary role to play as industries seek ways to reduce fuel consumption, and there is a tremendous opportunity to capitalise on Quickstep's innovative technologies for the aerospace and automotive industries.
"It is great to be leading such a dedicated team that is already delivering impressive results and is so committed to working closely with customers to achieve even further success."
Late last year Quickstep Technologies announced a new purchase order from Lockheed Martin for an extra 12 sets (plus spares) of wing flaps.
This takes the total order to 67 wing flap sets for Lockheed’s C-130J Super Hercules, a tender awarded in March 2012 and worth $US75 million under a MOA signed in December 2013.
