PolyNovo’s biodegradable wound dressings go to Saudi Arabia

Australian medical device company, PolyNovo, has received approval for sale of its biodegradable wound dressings in Saudi Arabia.

PolyNovo’s NovoSorb BTM (Biodegradable Temporising Matrix) – is a dermal regeneration solution intended for treatment of full-thickness wounds and burns where the dermal structure has been lost to trauma, or damaged requiring surgical removal, and requires a split-thickness skin graft for final closure.

The company has signed Saudi Arabia’s Al Mofadaly as their exclusive distributor in the country. Al Mofadaly have an extensive range of critical care products.

PolyNovo believes entry into Saudi Arabia will allow sales across the Middle East region through Al Mofadaly and its partners and sub- distributors, according to an ASX announcement.

“We welcome the opportunity to work with Al Mofadaly to expand our reach throughout the Middle-East. Our NovoSorb BTM will offer patients in the region a significant improvement in their clinical outcomes and enable us to serve our global key opinion leaders,” PolyNovo CEO Paul Brennan said.
