A fire at an unnamed automotive factory in Sunshine North, west of Melbourne’s CBD, yesterday morning is being treated as suspicious.
The ABC reports that there were no injuries at the site, where crews were called to a little before 6:30 yesterday.
“It’s an automotive factory with vehicles and automotive equipment, oil and LPG cylinders some of which had exploded,” Melbourne Fire Brigade acting commander Ross Halliwell told the ABC.
“The cause of the fire we’re not able to determine at this stage [but] it’s suspicious.”
Police are now investigating the cause of the incident.
According to a statement from the MFB, the blaze was brought under control in 39 minutes, with 28 firefighters attending the site.
