Orica has appointed Nick Bowen as the executive global head for mining services.
Slated to begin on 11 November this year, Bowen brings more than three decades of mining experience, and was previously the managing director at Macmahon Holdings.
It came after a global search to fill the role, Orica says.
Ian Smith, Orica’s CEO, stated that “the appointment of Nick Bowen adds significant strength to the executive management team and his experience in the mining services sector will be invaluable in enhancing Orica’s ability to meet the needs of its customers”.
Craig Elkinton will step into the CFO role.
James Bonnor, the current general manager for mining services in the Australia Pacific region will act as the global head of mining services until Bowen begins.
