NZ worker injured after falling into plastics machine

A New Zealand man was injured early this morning after falling into a plastics moulding machine.

The New Zealand Herald reports that the accident occurred around 4am NZ time at Sistema Plastics in the Auckland suburb of Penrose.

Sistema Plastics general manager Drew Muirhead said the man fell backwards into the machine which was not running at the time of the accident.

"He's hurt his shoulder and at this point we believe he's got a broken arm," Mr Muirhead said.

"He's out of X-ray now and he's comfortable."
