South Australian cement manufacturer Adelaide Brighton will supply construction materials to South Australia’s $985 million Northern Connector Project – the state’s first major concrete road.
The company has signed an agreement with multinational construction firm, Lendlease, as part of the project funded by the federal and state governments.
The deal relates to the supply of premixed concrete, cement, slag, aggregates and sand and is expected to create $20 million in revenue for the company.
Over and above the supply of materials, there is also an opportunity to supply additional quarry products during the next two years.
The supply of construction materials for the Northern Connector Project will support Adelaide Brighton’s South Australian cement, concrete and aggregates manufacturing operations
“[That is] in addition to providing a boost for the economy through jobs and work for local businesses,” the company’s CEO and managing director Martin Brighton added.
