Sydney engineering specialist WorleyParsons has signed a three-year contract to support two of Shell Australia’s liquefied natural gas plants in Queensland.
The Queenland Gas Company (QGC) – one of Shell’s Australian operations – will provide engineering, procurement and construction management across the upstream and midstream facilities from the Surat Basin to Curtis Island.
The contract also offers the option for two additional one-year terms.
Its services seek to provide the full lifecycle of a plant, from creating new assets to sustaining and enhancing operating assets in sectors including hydrocarbons, mineral, metals, chemicals and infrastructure.
“We are pleased to be awarded this agreement so that we can continue our successful relationship with QGC and support ongoing investment I the Queensland energy resources sector,” said WorleyParsons CEO Andrew Wood.
