Rockwell Automation has made some key staff changes to its Australia and New Zealand Key sales team including a new Australia and New Zealand sales director, a new Queensland state sales manager, and a new state sales manager for Victoria and Tasmania.

According to Rockwell, the new blood in the team brings a wealth of industry experience and enthusiasm that will directly benefit end-users across the region.

Rockwell Automation Australia and New Zealand sales director, David Hegarty, says his most recent position with the company’s architecture and software business in Singapore has provided him with key insights to bring to his new role.

“The Asia Pacific markets — particularly China and India — are much less constrained by conventional wisdom than our approach here in Australia and New Zealand,” he said.

“We can learn a great deal from their passion and their willingness to consider less-orthodox methodologies. This experience has also given me an invaluable understanding of some of Australia’s key trading partners.”

The Australia and New Zealand Sales team comprises six state sales managers reporting to Hegarty, covering all Australian states, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

“While we operate a common business approach across these regions, each state sales manager has the flexibility to tailor the model to the specific local needs,” said Hegarty.

“When dealing with industrial end-users, consultants and OEMs that operate across the regional divides, the Australia and New Zealand sales team ensures a cohesive approach is achieved for the delivery of seamless and consistent services.”

Meeting and exceeding customer expectation is said to be the primary focus for Chris Cooney, the new Rockwell Automation Queensland state sales manager, who brings a wealth of engineering and sales experience to his new position.

“My previous role as regional sales manager for another automation provider in Brisbane has given me an extremely good understanding of the Queensland market,” he said.

“The Rockwell Automation team here is very experienced. The combination of this exemplary product and market knowledge, allied with the company’s peerless range of automation solutions, delivers a winning combination for industry.”

Similarly, the new Victoria and Tasmania state sales manager, Cuong Vo, benefits from a broad spectrum of experience gained with Rockwell Automation both in Australia and in the UK.

“Having worked as an area sales engineer, corporate account manager, and food/beverage industry manager gives me a key understanding of the automation market, from OEMs to end-users, across many industry sectors,” he said.

“Industry in Victoria and Tasmania will benefit from the dedication and experience of the team here, as we strive to continually improve our delivery, in terms of speed, integrity and customer focus.”
