Family-owned Australian Pet Essentials specialises in high end natural treat and organic foods for pets, containing only human-grade quality ingredients and developed to provide all the crucial dietary requirements essential to maintain optimum health and longevity.
As sales and marketing manager for Australian Pet Essentials, Nathan Johnston is heavily involved in the research and development of the company’s products. He also looks after the manufacturing facility and day to day operations.
He brings innovation, creativity and passion to the role, and has been instrumental in creating new brands and formulas working with food technologists and herbalists to create these leading brands and bring them to market.
Not afraid to get his hands dirty, Nathan has worked in every position in the business and spent three years on the factory floor managing every process of production and is also responsible for R&D to enable the company to be at the forefront of high end pet food and pet treat manufacturing in Australia.
Australian Pet Essentials constantly receives requests on a regular basis for contract manufacturing and Nathan works closely with Mark Cooley (Sharyn’s partner in the business) on all new projects.
He is responsible for the creation of the brands: Pawganics; Paw Essentials; Gobble Gobble; and Croc chomps.
Nathan is also heavily involved in actively marketing the company’s products across the Asia Pacific region and is working together with Austrade to enter new markets across Asia.
