Metal industry to focus on innovative technology at Austech 2012

Leading-edge manufacturing and technology solutions are at the core of Australia’s advanced precision manufacturing and machine tool industry.

AUSTECH 2012 will showcase machine tools, precision tools, sheetmetal technology, automation equipment from national and international manufacturers of production technology.

Held from 8 to 11 May 2011 at the Sydney Showground, this industry leading metal working exhibition will host an entire spectrum of modern metalworking technology from new as well as previous show exhibitors.

Co-hosted with National Manufacturing Week (NMW), AUSTECH attracts a combined total of over 10,000 visitors every year, according to event organisers the Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited (AMTIL).

“Being present at AUSTECH is an absolute must for all manufacturers of production technology aiming to serve customers on the Australian market and to demonstrate their competence, efficiency and capacity to them,” says AMTIL event manager and Austech organiser Kim Warren.

“The same applies to users. They require efficient manufacturing technology, comprehensive engineering skills and good service in order to be competitive.”

AUSTECH and National Manufacturing Week shows are a source of ideas for industry to find ways to cut business costs. The shows are attended by thousands of industry decision-makers each year.

According to figures released by AMTIL, more than 94% of visitors have buying influence; 86% of previous attendees say they came to see new products; and 19% were in search of a particular new product, while one in three visitors is looking for a manufacturing solution or a solution to a problem.
