Engineering and infrastructure company RCR Tomlinson has been awarded a contract worth $70 million by Metro Trains Melbourne.
The project includes works to deliver station upgrade works within the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop (MURL).
The MURL is an essential part of the Melbourne’s metro rail network, which includes three underground stations at Parliament, Melbourne Central and Flagship, below the Melbourne CBD.
RCR’s scope of work includes engineering, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of system upgrades to three stations.
“We continue to see growth in our pipeline of rail infrastructure projects,” said RCR managing director and CEO, Dr Paul Dalgleish.
“This award clearly shows RCR’s capability to support a range of complex rail system projects.”
